    British Business Bank plc is a state-owned economic development bank established by the UK Government. Its aim is to increase the supply of credit to small and medium enterprises as well as providing business advice services with an interest in supporting women founders.

  • Rethink Ireland SED Fund 2021

    AwakenHub was delighted to be an awardee of the Rethink Ireland Social Enterprise Development Fund in 2021 . This allowed us to launch our first cohort of SheGenerate which amongst a load of other wonderful things resulted in a participant successfully applying for Rethink Ireland funding in 2022.

  • Ulster Bank Northern Ireland

    AwakenHub was awarded grant funding from Ulster Bank NI in 2021, 2022 and 2023 as one of a selection of beneficiaries supporting nascent founders in setting up their businesses.

    Their support has allowed us to part-fund the first ever all-island of Ireland accelerator lite programme for early stage women founders (SheGenerate) which is now in it’s third year.

Mary Ann’s family hail from Tipperary and she has been an increcible ally to the AwakenHub co-founding team from the getgo. In February 2022, she became our first Global Diaspora Ambassador and will help us build international reach with Irish connected women in the USA and across the world.
