At AwakenHub, we are passionate about driving change across the island of Ireland by supporting women founders and creating a community that removes barriers to scale, investment, and success. Since our launch in 2020, we have grown into a thriving network of 3,500+ members, delivered high-profile initiatives like SheGenerate and SheScales, and hosted flagship events such as the SheVentures All-Island Summit. We have also launched AwakenAngels in 2023 as the island’s first women-led (not women-only) angel investor syndicate with a goal to democratise angel investing for women and to increase investment in women founded companies through AwakenHub’s pipeline of founders.

Now, we want to give the next generation of changemakers the chance to get involved. This placement opportunity offers Ulster University undergraduates the chance to gain real-world experience in marketing, events, and operations while contributing to projects that make a tangible impact.

What’s on Offer

As a Marketing & Events Associate, you will:

• Support our events programme – from intimate meetups to major summits.

• Assist with digital marketing campaigns across social media and newsletters.

• Get involved in planning, delivery, and post-event evaluation.

• Work as part of a small, hybrid team delivering high-impact initiatives across Ireland.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Ulster University undergraduate with a passion for marketing, events, and making things happen. You don’t need years of experience – just energy, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with tools like Canva, HubSpot, or social media schedulers is a bonus, but not essential.
